St George is a private British school, located in Madrid, with classes from 2 to 18 years old (Pre-nursery – Year 13). We have students from more than 40 different nationalities who follow the English National Curriculum as if they were in a school in the U.K. For us, the most important thing is that each child reaches their own maximum potential and aims excellence so that they have all the tools they need to excel in the future.
The school is set in attractive surroundings on the outskirts of Madrid and have among the best facilities of any international School in Madrid with more than two and a half hectares full advantage of a wonderful range of facilities—Swimming Pool, dedicated Early Years area, Astro-turf pitch, Auditorium, fully equipped Science Laboratories, Music Room, a large Hall, Sixth Form Centre and Learning Resource Centre.
Our curriculum is based on the UK National Curriculum and taught by fully qualified British staff. There are two compulsory elements of the Spanish curriculum: Spanish language and Sociales, which comprise the remaining twenty percent. There will be a wide range of subjects available for examination study at both IGCSE and Advanced Level. Pupils are well prepared for further study in the United Kingdom, Spain or elsewhere in the World.
St. George teachers are all qualified and native English speakers. They are committed and dedicated professionals, enthusiastic about their subjects. They work tirelessly to support the students in developing their potential and are trained to provide an individualised educational programme. Our aim is to instill in the children a lifelong love of learning.
Each student is unique, has different strengths, passions and a different way of learning. That’s why it is so important for us to respect every individual, supporting them with any weakness and developing their maximum potential. Our children feel happy and secure in the school and it is our priority to try and build each child’s confidence and self-esteem. We create an environment where every individual child is important and we know that these principles are key element to build an outstanding school.
St. George has its own special atmosphere. We want pupils to appreciate the joy of learning and to become decent, tolerant and well-educated people. We want St. George British School, Madrid, to make a real impact in our pupil’s lives, helping them become independent thinkers and life-long learners. Every child really does matter to us.
