The British School of Málaga
St. Georges Málaga is just one of the British schools belonging to the St. Georges Group. The Group currently has six schools in Spain in Málaga, Seville, Almería, Barcelona and two in Madrid. The schools within the group are all known for their family environment where each child receives individual attention helping them to improve daily. Both students and teachers enjoy their work which shows in the excellent results achieved.
The school is ideally situated on the hilltops close to the centre of Málaga in an area called Cerrado de Calderon. The classrooms are light and roomy and there are many specialised facilities such as the Science laboratories, Art room, ICT rooms, Libraries and Music rooms. There are also playgrounds and a sports area known as the St. Georges Sports Club consisting of more than 13,000 square metres. The Sixth Form students have their own study centre in the St. Georges Club.
The programme is based on the National British Curriculum taught by native British teachers qualified in Great Britain. The programm is complemented by compulsory Spanish subjects. There is a wide variety of subjects to choose from at IGCSE and A Level after which students can go on to enter universities in Great Britain, Spain or other countries.
The school is more than just a teaching institution. The students have the opportunity to participate in many different after-school activities sporting, cultural and voluntary.
All the students take great pride and satisfaction from what they learn which helps them to become independent, tolerant and creative young adults to cope with the ever changing world in which we live. Our objective is to provide each child with an excellent education.
