The British School of Valencia is a private education centre offering a British education to students of all nationalities, aged between 2 and 18. From its beginnings, the primary objective of the school has been to provide its students with an excellent academic background, as well as broad human and sociocultural teachings based on stimulating creativity, initiative and personal effort as the way to successfully overcome the challenges they face year after year throughout their academic life.
Currently, the British School of Valencia has over 450 students of a variety of nationalities and 45 highly qualified teachers. This student-to-teacher ratio allows us to offer our students personalised treatment and constant monitoring of their academic progress, regardless of their stage in the educational process.
Our students study according to the British Education System and enjoy a unique experience, since they are able to assimilate the English language through constant use in the most natural of surroundings: academic life. This learning is very intense during the first stages of they academic cycle (Nursery and Primary Education). In the Secondary Education stage, students are prepared to sit their IGCSE and GCE “A” Levels. In both cases, they may choose from a wide array of subjects oriented towards offering broad academic and personal education that will guarantee success in later university studies. The school offers complementary subjects to the British Curriculum: Spanish Language and Culture and Valencia’s own language, as well as French, as from the Secondary Education stage.
The school is located in the heart of Valencia, in one of the areas easiest to access, with the best transport connections. It covers a surface area of over 6,000 m2, with the different areas for each stage of education very carefully distributed, taking into account that each of them requires specific facilities. The school’s facilities include three playgrounds (one of them exclusively for Nursery School), science laboratories, computer classrooms, music room, art room, library, sports areas and equipment, gymnasium, etc….
We have our own dining service for students who request it. The school has two dining rooms, each one reserved for students in different age groups. The menus are drawn up by nutritional experts and supervised by the centre. There are special diet menus to meet the nutritional needs of our students.
We currently offer an optional school transport service consisting of a fleet of five buses covering routes in both the city of Valencia and neighbouring towns.
